Planning For your Branding Photoshoot

Hi, I’m Christa Elyce! I’m a Master Photographer and owner of Houston Studio, a brand and commercial photography and video production company.

My team and I have worked with thousands of Houstonian businesses and brands to help them create marketing content that rocks and attracts their dream clients. Our clients are happy to have images that they can use for launches, billboards, websites, campaigns,  and social media. I’m sharing my top 5 tips for branding with photos and video content. Let’s talk about how we can help you drive results and make this year your most successful!

1. Know Who You Are Attracting
Understanding who your target audience is the key to successful marketing. Let’s make sure that your dream client is picking up what you’re putting down. Your dream customers and clients are out there ready and waiting for you to come along, but they just haven’t see you yet. It’s our job to create images that are ‘scroll-stopping’ and make them get in contact with you as soon as possible!
2. Aesthetics, Vibe, & Palette
Creating brand recognition can be as simple as selecting a palette of colors that you identify with to include into your session. Cohesive brand aesthetics can help lead your new customers from social media to your website letting them feel your overall vibe, creating trust, and feel they’ve made the right choice coming to you. Your whole look helps your ideal customer know they’re at the right place for them and create loyalty.
3. How Will You Use Your New Photos & Videos?
Being intentional with how you will build a strong brand with your new images and videos is how well executed marketing campaigns are made! I like to have my clients make a list of where their dream clients shop for their product/services and how they plan to show up for their brand. Having quality media that suites those outlets is going to separate you from your competitors. Google loves new video and photos content, Websites need horizontal images for static pages, social media like clips that are under 90 secs., and the list goes on and on.

4. Industry Props & Outfits
No matter what industry you are in, there are specific props and looks  that can be included in your photoshoot that will show the viewer who you are, your personality, and what it is you do.
You can even brand your props for an elevated look in your photoshoot or promotional video. We’ll work together to come up with a list of looks and props to bring to your photoshoot that will give you a variety of more images that will give you anywhere between 3-6 months of content you can use to market your services and products.
5. Let’s Create A Shot List
We will work together to create a storyboard and shot list for your photoshoot. With a plan we are able to create even more variety of images and video footage.
